Must Try

At the end of January, Monkeys Splash Zone made a splash in Sungai Long, becoming Malaysia’s largest indoor water theme park

Visitors can dive into a variety of exciting water rides, including Whirlpool Whirl, where you zoom down a swirling vortex; Zoomie Glide, a high-speed splashy slide; and Double Dash, a thrilling side-by-side race down the slide.

For a limited-time opening promo, tickets are priced at RM65 per adult (normal: RM90) and RM45 per child under 90cm (normal: RM70).

However, Monkeys Splash Zone has recently been flooded with negative reviews on Google, suggesting that the attractions may not be as enjoyable as they seem.

One major complaint is value for money. Many visitors feel that the adult ticket prices are too steep, especially since most of the rides cater to children. Plus, few are not even ready for public use yet.

On less crowded days, some adult rides are closed due to “not enough crowd”. The pricing system has also raised eyebrows, as children taller than 130cm are charged adult rates, which parents deem unfair for taller kids.

Safety is another issue at Monkeys Splash Zone. Visitors report that the floors are dangerously slippery, with one guest even sustaining an injury after falling into a small but deep drain. While no similar accidents have been reported, other parents have voiced worries about the park’s overall safety.

Adults are not allowed to accompany their kids on certain rides — while understandable, this raises safety concerns for younger visitors.

As for food and beverages, the park offers only a few counters and a single restaurant, leaving many guests hungry and thirsty. To make matters worse, outside food and drinks are not allowed, limiting options even further.

However, it’s worth noting that this spot also has positive reviews from satisfied visitors!

As of now, Monkeys Splash Zone boasts a 2.7-star rating from 88 Google reviews. What do you think? Are these reviews unwarranted? Let us know!
