Boursin cheese pasta is a creamy tomato pasta with garlic, seasonings, and soft cheese baked in the same pan to create a savory, cheesy sauce. Just add your favorite pasta, and toss!

I’ve been making this TikTok pasta recipe on repeat and it’s perfect for weeknight dinners. For more easy recipes, try this garlic bread pasta, creamy Caesar pasta, and the famous Buffalo Wild Wings garlic parmesan chicken pasta.

Why You’ll Love This Boursin Pasta Recipe

This Boursin cheese pasta puts a fresh spin on the viral TikTok baked feta pasta from a few years ago. The original recipe saw tomatoes, spices, and a block of feta cheese baked in the oven before they were tossed with cooked pasta. This version swaps the feta for soft and creamy Boursin cheese instead, and it’s delicious!

  • It’s bursting with flavor. This Boursin pasta has all of the Mediterranean-style flavors that I love, thanks to blistered sweet tomatoes, melty cheese, garlic, and pasta.
  • It’s mess-free and so easy. Just assemble the cheese and tomatoes, toss with oil and a couple of easy seasonings, and bake.
  • You can make it in one pan. Well, technically you’ll need a second pot to boil the pasta,  but all of your “sauce” ingredients cook in one baking dish. It’s close enough to a one-pan dinner for me!

Ingredients You’ll Need

If you love the flavor in recipes like my Greek tomato feta soup, you’ll love this creamy, cheesy tomato pasta! The ingredients are super simple. Check out some notes and substitutions here, and scroll to the recipe card for a printable list with the full details.

  • Tomatoes – I like the sweetness of cherry and grape tomatoes, but any tomatoes will work.
  • Oil – Olive oil or another cooking oil, like canola.
  • Garlic – Fresh cloves are best.
  • Seasonings – Garlic powder, crushed red pepper for kick, plus dried basil (or Italian seasoning).
  • Boursin Cheese – There are lots of Boursin cheese flavors, but I like the Garlic and Herb Boursin best in this tomato pasta.
  • Pasta – I use rotini, but any pasta works in this recipe. Other good short-cut pasta options are penne, cavatappi, shells, farfalle, or rigatoni.
  • Parmesan – Freshly grated for serving. You can also garnish this pasta with fresh basil leaves or parsley.

What Is Boursin Cheese?

Boursin is a brand of soft French cheese. It’s a lot like cream cheese, and it comes with different seasonings, ranging from garlic and herbs to chives, shallots, and black pepper. I spread it over crackers on the regular. This creamy Boursin pasta is just one more delicious way to use it!

How to Make the TikTok Boursin Cheese Pasta

This might be one of the easiest pasta recipes ever and the flavors are incredible. Here’s what to expect, and you’ll find the printable instrutions in the recipe card after the post.

  • Add the cheese and tomatoes to a pan. Add the tomatoes to a 9×13” casserole dish and toss them with olive oil and seasonings. Nestle two rounds of Boursin in the middle of the tomatoes.
  • Bake. Pop that into the oven at 375ºF for 30-35 minutes until the tomatoes are cooked to bursting.
  • Cook the pasta. Meanwhile, boil your pasta al dente. Afterward, reserve about ½ cup of the pasta water before you drain it. All that starchy water makes the finished dish extra creamy!
  • Put it all together. Add your cooked pasta to the baking dish with the tomatoes, and stir it all together with a splash of pasta water. Garnish with parmesan and dig in!

Recipe Tips

  • Season the pasta water. Add 2-3 spoonfuls of salt to the boiling water you use to cook the pasta, for flavorful noodles. Don’t forget to reserve a half cup of pasta water, too, for extra creaminess.
  • Add more veggies. Dice or slice up bell peppers, mushrooms, zucchini and other vegetables to cook alongside the tomatoes and cheese (just make sure to choose veggies with similar cooking times). You can also add olives, spinach, and fresh herbs..
  • Add protein. Toss in cooked protein at the same time you add the cooked pasta to the baking dish. Try cooked shredded chicken or baked chicken breasts, steak bites, or shrimp (which also tastes great in this creamy shrimp tomato pasta).

Serving Suggestions

This Boursin cheese and tomato pasta is a hearty dinner, especially if we add a side of stuffed garlic bread or garlic knots. It’s also great served with a salad tossed in zesty Greek dressing, or veggies, like airfryer asparagus and roasted carrots. Enjoy a starter of the best bruschetta and an easy chocolate lava cake for dessert!

Storing and Reheating Leftovers

  • Refrigerate. Store any leftover pasta in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat. You can reheat Boursin pasta in the microwave, oven, or on the stovetop. Sprinkle a little water over the noodles before reheating and stir often to revive the sauce.
