1. Monger

For XL grilled lobster and crab leg, look no further than Monger. You won’t go wrong with their Grilled Boston Lobster, priced at $16 for half and $25 for full. Each portion comes with a side of thick-cut fries, too!

We loved the Garlic Butter sauce, which paired well with the sweet lobster flesh, though you can opt for the Rich Lobster Glaze instead if you want more umami. Alternatively, go all out and splurge on the Grilled King Crab Leg ($55), which comes with two whole pieces.

2. Mount Faber Peak

Head to Mount Faber Peak, right next to Monger, for your fill of nasi lemak with grilled meats. We ordered the Bamboo Nasi Lemak Ikan ($23), which came with fragrant rice, sweet sambal, peanuts and anchovies, a fried egg, and a slab of grilled fish that was tender and sweet.

Besides fish, they offer Chicken ($15), Beef Rendang ($20), and Seafood ($23) as alternative protein options. Other popular picks are their Lobster Hokkien Noodles ($20) and Jumbo Chicken Satay (10 pcs) ($14), perfect for sharing in a group.

For more carby mains, visit Rumours Beach Club‘s kiosk. Here you’ll find legit Indonesian fare, including the Nasi Bakar Cumi ($16), comprising seasoned rice and squid wrapped in banana leaf, then steamed and fired on the charcoal grill.

INTERACTION-RUMOURS

The rice is fragrant and moist, while the squid is perfectly cooked with a smoky finish. Those who don’t like seafood can opt for the Ayam Suwur ($16) option instead, which swaps out the squid for spicy shredded chicken.

4. Clumzy Plumzy x Sigcoco

Cool down from the heat with a refreshing tipple at Clumzy Plumzy x Sigcoco, located within the sheltered Emerald Pavillion.

We recommend the Lychee Martini Slushy ($15), an icy blend of vodka, lychee liqueur, and citrus. With a 25% ABV, this frozen cocktail is pretty boozy, so drink slowly and responsibly! Other crowd-favourite drinks include Sour Plum Highball ($15) and Honey Lemon Fizz ($15): sour plum vodka, honey, lemon and soda.

5. NBCB

NBCB katong double cheeseburger

Local burger brand NBCB has been shaking up the scene with their tongue-in-cheek slogan and affordable yet satisfying burgers. At their Sentosa GrillFest stall, you can look forward to their signature Grilled Wagyu Cheeseburger ($20.90), starring a 180g Wagyu patty grilled with cheddar cheese, topped with fresh tomato slices and house-made truffle mayo. Everything is held together by sweet and fluffy brioche buns.
