At MODU, all the dishes are available a la carte, but there’s also the option of 2-gather ($98++), a five-course meal for diners visiting in pairs. This hearty meal includes two samgyetang of your choice, an appetiser, a sharing dish, and Korean tea. We were particularly impressed by their spicy samgyetang, which boasted pronounced notes of chilli powder and minced garlic. The ginseng chicken soup was also excellent, especially with how easy and soothing it is on the stomach.

If you’ve not heard of Tipo Pasta Bar, you’re missing out. This halal restaurant at Bugis serves customisable pasta dishes from just $9.90++. If you prefer not to DIY, there are plenty of fixed combinations, such as the Aglio Alright ($19.90++) AKA prawn aglio olio, and Royal Ragu ($21.90++). Go for a cycling or rollerblading date at East Coast Park and top off the experience with a delightful meal at Fico. The restaurant, headed by Chef-Partner Mirko Febbrile, a former chef at Michelin-starred Braci, brings legit Italian cuisine to Singapore while embracing a no-frills, no-waste sort of dining tradition.
Here, you have the option to dine comfortably in the air-conditioned area or enjoy an al fresco experience beneath the canopies on the terraces. Visit at around 5:30pm to catch a view of the sunset.
A must-try is their focaccina that’s similar to focaccia. Choose from three different types: Tropea Onions ($18++), Piennolo Giallo Tomatoes ($22++), and San Marzano Tomatoes ($22++). Get their house-made fresh pasta such as the Spaghetti ($26++) that’s served from a pecorino wheel, good for those who love cheese. For dessert, indulge in their Solein Chocolate Gelato, the world’s first dessert crafted with 100% vegan protein derived from pure air.
