My air fryer has to be one of the best purchases I have ever made, and I know you are going to be blown away by this chicken thigh recipe! This is a great go-to recipe when you need to get dinner on the table in a hurry. Super versatile, these chicken thighs are easily paired with all of your favorite sides.
What’s in This Air Fryer Chicken Thighs Recipe?
- Chicken: For this recipe, use bone-in, skin-on thighs. The bone will help to keep the thighs juicy during cooking and the skin crisps up so wonderfully!
- Olive Oil: Helps the seasonings stick and the chicken crisp up.
- Spices: A combination of ground white pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper infuses these thighs with so much savory flavor.
Variations To Try
If you like, you can add or swap some of these spices. Add a pinch of cayenne for a bit of spice or dried herbs like oregano or thyme.

How to Store and Reheat
Store leftover air fryer chicken thighs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months. Let thaw overnight before reheating in a 350°F air fryer for 3-4 minutes, or until warmed through.
Notes and Tips
- Preheat the fryer before adding the chicken so that it cooks through evenly.
- The chicken thighs should be at room temperature when you put them in the air fryer. I like to take them out of the fridge 30 minutes before I plan to cook them so that they cook through evenly.
- Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket. If you want to double the recipe, cook the chicken in two batches.
