Blue Bottle Coffee’s recent pop-up at Raffles City caused a bit of a stir among coffee fans, despite being essentially a gift shop selling merch, instant coffee and more. Now, the brand is looking to spice things up at their Singapore outpost with the Pour Over Workshop ($100) and Coffee Seminar ($42), two classes that are bound to level up your coffee brewing game.

These classes will take place from 11 November to 19 November 2024, and will be conducted by some of Blue Bottle Coffee’s top names, including Michael Phillips, Global Director of Coffee Culture, and Benjamin Brewer, Senior Director of Global Coffee Experience.

Here’s what you’ll be getting into. The Coffee Seminar is a 30 to 45-minute session that gives participants a look at the different flavour profiles and techniques that have defined the brand throughout their 20-year history. After that, Blue Bottle Coffee’s pros will dive into hand-drip brewing demonstrations, wrapping up with a tasting session where you can savour the freshly brewed coffee.

Then there’s the Pour Over Workshop, a 75-minute session for up to eight participants guided by Blue Bottle Coffee’s experts. Using the brand’s tools for pour-over brewing, you’ll learn to create two distinct coffee profiles: their signature blend and a seasonal holiday single origin.

Aside from these classes, the brand has also launched some new merchandise for the festive season. These include the Winter Blend ($30), which’ll yield coffee with a fruity flavour profile and a balance of molasses and dark chocolate notes, and the Holiday Claska Mug ($33), a classy cup brown mug bearing Blue Bottle Coffee’s iconic logo.
