Cheers & FairPrice Xpress Launch Ready-To-Eat Food

Must Try

Cheers & FairPrice Xpress has a new ready-to-eat menu

If you’re pressed for time to cook or simply too lazy to walk to your nearest food centre, we’ve got you covered. Cheers & FairPrice Xpress has rolled out an extended range of snacks, hot bento meals, Japanese desserts and more. You can essentially have a feast here!

cheers-bento-box

The popular convenience store has levelled up its array of tasty meal options, with a whole new lineup of ready-to-heat bento boxes by Treats.

These are affordably priced from $4.20 per serving, so you won’t break the bank either.

All you need to do is pop them in the microwave at the store for three to four minutes, and they’ll be good to consume.

The Rendang Chicken with Biryani Rice ($4.20) is a popular pick for good reason. You get fluffy biryani rice topped with tender chicken pieces and potato chunks in a flavoursome, lemak rendang sauce.

The savoury and aromatic rice set is perfect if you’re craving something hearty and satisfying after a long day at work.

Another great alternative is the Ayam Bakar & Braised Cabbage with Rice ($4.20), which nods to the popular Indonesian grilled chicken dish.

Here, chicken cubes, cabbage, and carrots are joined together in a sweet, savoury, and smoky soy-based sauce. Mop everything up with the white jasmine rice, which serves as the ideal canvas for the sauce-drenched meat and veggies.

Add more protein to your meal with Cheer’s latest range of ready-to-eat seafood snacks, only available at selected stores.

The Mala Squid Tentacles ($5.20) feature bouncy squid pieces in a mild mala sauce that’s not overwhelmingly spicy, so those with a low spice tolerance can consider trying them.

The Mala Scallops ($5.90) are equally delicious, as the sweet and juicy scallops soak up the fragrant mala sauce.

These ready-to-eat snacks are also the perfect accompaniment to an icy cold beer! You can get freshly drafted beers on tap, at specific Cheers outlets: Siloso Point has Carlsberg and Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc; Sentosa Beach Station has Tiger; and Holland Village has Heineken, Tiger, Edelweiss, and Guinness.

Otherwise, those who don’t consume alcohol can cool down with the 100 Plus Slushy ($3), exclusive to Cheers & FairPrice Express. This refreshing isotonic slushy is great for any time of the day, especially if you’re outdoors on a hot afternoon. While the drink is currently only sold at the Siloso Point and Sentosa Beach outlets, Cheers will be rolling it out at other stores soon.

We’re also excited about the launch of new Japanese desserts at Cheers & FairPrice Xpress, which we think are game-changers in the scene.

cheers-waffle

Satisfy your sweet tooth cravings with the Nishiki Mochi Waffle ($2.90), available in flavours such as Chestnut and Strawberry. These made-in-Japan waffle treats feature a soft mochi centre, with a smooth ice cream-like filling. They’re also not too sweet, so you can indulge without feeling guilty.

Alternatively, chocoholics can opt for the Yoshikai Ganache Chocolate Cake ($5.20), also made in Japan.
