With NDP around the corner, some parade-goers may be wondering: What’s in the NDP 2024 pack? The NDP pack is perhaps the most overlooked aspect of every NDP parade.
While it is nondescript, the take-home tote bag serves as a poignant reminder of our shared values, our commitment to sustainability, and our dedication to Total Defence.
This year is the fifth year in which disabled artists co-create the design of the NDP pack.
Besides having expandable storage and an extra pocket, the NDP 2024 pack is made from eco-friendly materials. Now the million-dollar question is: what’s in the NDP 2024 pack?
If you were expecting anything different from previous NDPs, the bad news is that the items are largely the same. Here’s a detailed breakdown of what’s in the NDP 2024 pack.
1. Food
There are 3 packets of drinks, a Sunshine bun, Woods lozenges, Khong Guan biscuits, potato chips, granola, a box of Nestle cereal and kacang puteh (nuts).
You’ll have to eat the kacang puteh first. These are wrapped in paper, so you can’t store them.
2. NDP Memorabilia
There’s a foldable round fan, a mini Singapore flag with a pole to attach it to, a hand clapper, tattoos, a banner with the word “SINGAPORE”, and a sports resistance band.
All of the above items (except the resistance band) will come in handy during the parade.
3. Others
There’s also a packet of tissues, antiseptic wet wipes and a disposable raincoat. Fingers crossed that it doesn’t rain on the day of the parade.
