  1. preheat the oven
  2. prepare and grease a brownie mix, add to the pan, and bake according to package instructions

Halloween Tombstone Brownies

These easy Tombstone Halloween Brownies are the perfect fun and spooky treat for a party! Brownies covered in icing, and Milano cookies for a treat!

Ingredients

  • Brownie Shopping List:
  • 1 box of any brand of brownie mix that makes around 12 brownies (or buy them premade in a bakery frosted)
  • 1 can of chocolate frosting any brand (dark chocolate)
  • 1 box of candy eyes, bones, or whatever you prefer
  • 1 bag of candy corn Autumn assortment with pumpkins
  • 1 box of Milano cookies, windmill cookies, or another shape for gravestones
  • 1 package of chocolate sandwich cookies (around 8 crushed) for dirt
  • disposable bags with writing tips to write icing phrases on each tombstone
  • see notes for other decorating suggestions for the top

Instructions

  1. Directions for Brownie Mix:
  2. Bake the brownies to the package instructions and cool completely (for easy removal line an 8 x 8 pan with parchment paper before baking.
  3. While these are baked, lay out the cookies, fill the piping bag, and using a round small writing tip, add the frosting (just around 1/4 cup you won’t need much) and write a Halloween phrase inscription on each one. See notes for suggestions.
  4. Frost the brownies lightly, then sprinkle the crushed chocolate cookie crumbs on top to look like dirt.
  5. Add the cookie towards the very back and insert it to stand up.
  6. Place the brownies on a decorative Halloween plate (or any long kind of plate) in a long row then sprinkle them with more crushed cookies to look like dirt around the plate to fill it in or add whatever other creative ideas you may have to implement a scary graveyard.
  7. Add candy bones and candy loose eyes for a creepy dead body and assorted candy corn for garnishes. Enjoy and have fun!
