Here’s a piece of good news for those working in the CBD: Hazukido, a popular croissant chain from Taiwan, has set up shop along Club Street in Chinatown! The new kiosk is located in Basement 2 of Mercure ICON Singapore City Centre, a four or six-minute walk from Telok Ayer or Chinatown MRT Station respectively.
Hazukido: Famous Japanese-Style Croissant Bakery Opens At Takashimaya
In case you didn’t know, Hazukido is a Taiwan-famous chain specialising in Japanese-inspired croissants. These pastries are baked in small batches, using French butter and Japanese flour.
Over at their OG outlet at Ngee Ann City, you can expect around 20 croissant flavours.
Orh nee fans must try the Taro & Pudding Croissant ($6.50), available at both outlets. You get a palm-sized croissant loaded with a creamy yam filling, finished with a chunk of pudding.
You’ll also find a new Sweet Potato & Taro Croissant (price TBD), exclusive to the Chinatown outlet. This snack pairs the same orh nee filling with earthy sweet potato cream.
If you love your bubble tea, try the Brown Sugar Mochi ($5.30), which comes with QQ mochi within.
Otherwise, you won’t go wrong with the Custard ($5.90) flavour, piped with a luscious custard in the middle.
While you’re there, don’t miss out on their opening specials! From 22 January to 24 January, 11am onwards, be one of the first 30 customers to enjoy a buy-1-free-5 deal. The next 60 customers in line will get a buy-3-free-3 promotion instead. Check out Hazukido’s IG post for more details.
