The Dough

Our recipe includes instructions for a simple homemade dough. However, we get it, life gets busy and the premade doughs at the grocery store can be pretty awesome. Both options deliver delicious results, and the choice comes down to your preference for convenience versus the satisfaction of making dough from scratch.

Filling Ideas

When it comes to fillings, the possibilities are truly endless. In addition to Italian cold cuts, you could try cooked chicken, bacon, sausage, or even a vegetarian option like grilled vegetables. If you’re using vegetables with a high water content, such as mushrooms or zucchini, it’s a good idea to sauté them first to remove excess moisture. This little step ensures your pizza rolls stay perfectly crispy and not soggy.

You could go for classic combinations like Hawaiian Pizza, Chicken Bacon Ranch, Buffalo Chicken, or Meatlovers.

Just remember, while it’s tempting to stuff these rolls with all your favorite ingredients, be careful not to overfill them. Too much filling can make the rolls difficult to handle and might cause some spillage during the baking process.

Dip it!

Pizza rolls can be served as an appetizer, snack, or even a main dish. They pair well with a variety of dips like marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or pesto.
