The popular dessert chain also offers a wide range of affordable drinks to choose from, including Creamy Mango Boba (RM7), Peach Oolong Tea (RM6), and Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea (RM5.50).

2. Awa Mee Bar

Awa Mee Bar is a highly rated Chinese restaurant with over 1,000 Google reviews at the point of writing. Go straight for their AWA Seafood Soup & Dry Noodle (RM23.90++), where you get to pick from three types of noodles: glass noodles, yellow noodles, and rice noodles. The soup is said to be brimming with fish fillet slices, handmade meatballs, and fresh veggies. Otherwise, try their Japanese-inspired AWA Tonkotsu Soup & Dry Noodle (RM21.90++), starring a creamy pork bone broth with sliced pork belly.

3. Marrybrown

Popular Malaysian fast food chain Marrybrown offers delicious and affordable fried chicken sets that are perfect for sharing with the fam. For a quick and easy lunch, consider their Chicken Burger Combo (RM12.99), which comes with a side of fries and a drink. Otherwise, check out their selection of fried chicken plates, priced from RM17.99 for a set. If you’re in the mood for something local, they also have Nasi Lemak (RM15.90) and Nasi Kandar (RM16.90)!

4. Oriental Kopi
If you’re shopping at Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru, you’ll be happy to know that famous Malaysian cafe chain Oriental Kopi has set up shop there. You’ll find their signature Oriental Egg Tart (RM9.80 for two), which is super buttery on the outside, with a smooth and eggy custard middle. Those who love kaya toast can order their Double Butter Kaya Toast (RM4.90), where thin toast slices are layered with cold butter and house-made kaya spread. 5. Go Noodle House

For KL-style ban mian, Nyonya curry noodles, Fuzhou fishballs and more, visit Go Noodle House. Their Bursting Meatballs (RM15.50++) are a must-try; juicy, mince meat-packed balls are served in the restaurant’s Superior Soup that’s made with over 14 types of fish bones. Their Homemade Pan Mee, priced from RM13.20++, is equally popular. These noodles are said to be springy and bouncy, pairing well with your choice of sauce or soup. The cult-favourite Japanese chain is known for their hearty rice bowls and noodles that don’t break the bank. A bowl of their signature Gyudon is priced at just RM9.90 for the medium portion, which works out to only S$3.30! 10. Guoma Shabu Shabu Buffet

Another great Thai tea spot is ChaTraMue, a Thai-famous brand that has a kiosk at Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru. You’ll find a great lineup of drinks to cool off with, ranging from Thai Milk Tea and Matcha Milk Tea to Honey Lemon Green Tea and Jasmine Tea. You won’t break the bank here too, with prices ranging from RM8.90 for the hot version to RM9.90 for a cold drink. If you prefer coffee to tea, check out their coffee series, with options such as Mocha and Cappucino. These are also well-priced from RM10.90 per cup.
