Coffee connoisseurs, rejoice. Popular speciality coffee cafe Toby’s Estate is slated to reopen its doors in May 2024, with a revamped interior and a special limited edition premium coffee blend — read on to find out more!
Toby’s Estate is a renowned Australian coffee roaster that opened its Asian flagship on our sunny island in 2011. They’ve cemented themselves as a Robertson Quay mainstay and have been brewing up a storm ever since.
However, the cafe announced a temporary closure from 23 Mar 2024 in a belated Facebook post on 30 Mar. As it turns out, it was meant to facilitate renovation works that are still currently underway. Although Toby’s Estate did not provide a specific date, they’re slated to reopen some time in May 2024.
The revamped cafe takes on a contemporary industrial aesthetic and boasts a classy ambience for coffee fixes and chats. Of its 87 seats are 32 alfresco riverside spots for you to relish in your cup of joe against a picturesque backdrop of the Singapore River.
A fresh look isn’t all that’s new to Toby’s Estate! Introducing Pandan Waffle, the latest addition to their Flavour Savour Espresso blend series.
With notes of refreshing pine-lime ice cream, milky coconut cream and fruity melons, this delicious blend encapsulates the flavours of the perennial favourite pandan waffle. With a pronounced pandan aroma, it’s poised to capture the hearts of many Southeast Asian coffee aficionados.
This limited edition blend will be available in-store and online in 200g (S$24) and 1kg (S$68.50) bags. Sounds good? You best hurry down as soon as you can as it will only be available while stocks last.
If you’re seeking some cool respite on a sunny day, you’ll love the cafe’s Freezus series, which features refreshing frozen coffees. Alternatively, treat yourself to an ice-cold ready-to-drink Not Hot Coffee in any of 3 interesting flavours: Oat Milk Latte, Cold Brew Black and ‘Spro Tonic, all priced at S$5.30.
Of course, the cafe’s menu has brunch platters aplenty — the perfect complement to your coffee. Think dishes like the maple syrup-laden Toby’s French Toast (S$18) and the hearty Brekkie of Champions (S$27) which features your quintessential brunch fixings like eggs, maple bacon and brioche toast.
I don’t know about you, but I’ll certainly be eagerly awaiting Toby’s Estate’s reopening.
