Woodlands MRT has a new pasar malam with street food
Northies, you’re in luck: there’s a huge food bazaar beside Woodlands MRT Station that runs from now till 30 June 2024! Dubbed Food Street, the bustling pasar malam boasts over 60 food stalls, so you can jalan jalan and makan your way through the fair.
You’ll spot Original Pisang Keju here, which we previously featured in our Kampong Gelam Bazaar 2024 guide.

For the uninitiated, pisang keju is a popular Indonesian snack comprising fried banana topped with shredded cheese. Look forward to flavours such as Oreo, Butterscotch, and Biscoff. Standard flavours go for $8 for six pieces, while premium options are priced at $9 for six.
You’ll also find other pasar malam staples such as Thai Fried Banana ($4 for six) at Thai Dessert House.
Otherwise, head to Loco Loco for their Ondeh Ondeh Churros ($5), topped with gula melaka and coconut. Infused with pandan, these freshly fried mini churros are crispy on the outside, while cake-like in the middle. There’s even a savoury Chilli Crab ($6) flavour if you’re up to try something different!
While you’re there, grab a box of Takoyaki ($4), available in Original and Cheesy flavours, at the same stall.

Bo-Geh is another indulgent pick from the food fair, serving up a nice selection of deep-fried treats such as Pisang Goreng (($4) and Lekor Gemok ($4)—traditional Malay fish crackers.
We recommend the Durian Goreng ($10), which consists of a light and crispy shell encasing a rich and creamy durian filling.

There’s also a fair number of drinks stalls for you to quench your thirst at, with options such as Mango Float ($5 for small, $7 for big) and the aesthetically pleasing Vanilla Blue ($3 for small, $5 for big).

Patrons can choose to dabao or dine-in on-site, as the market is lined with benches and tables for customers to use. The fair is located at Woodlands MRT, right outside Causeway Point.
